This new association STOP ICE BOWLING AND VIOLENCE has been making headlines since August 2024, as they have begun to raise awareness about an increasingly serious problem for young Polynesians in particular and for Polynesian society in general: the consumption of methamphetamine, also known as ice or crystal.
In fact, this widespread use among young people and adults has led to many issues in contemporary Polynesian society, such as the breakdown of couples and families, an increase in thefts, an uptick in bullying, and violence in schools, institutes, and high schools, among others.
Their project appears to be serious, and since its inception, they have continuously reported dozens of difficult situations and contexts on their website as a consequence of drug use.
We encourage them to continue their project and to fight even more directly against the organized crime that lurks behind this business, which seems highly lucrative for the impostors who resell it.
